About Us <3

"Hello vintage lovers, my name is Keko, and welcome to my website! With the support of God, family, and friends, I’ve turned my passion for vintage clothing into a business, all while pursuing my education in business management and taking courses at an automotive mechanic trade school. While we are working on converting to the back yard the shop is currently ran straight from our home, which also happens to be vintage—specifically from the 80s, adding to the overall experience of shopping here!

This journey has truly been a passion project. My interest in vintage fashion began with hand-me-downs from my father, which I started receiving around the age of 15. My favorite is a black faded Marithé + François Girbaud jacket he bought in 1987 at the Laredo Sam's Club; it remains my all-time grail. Throughout high school even though I had fair amount of it in my closet I didn't really know much about identifying vintage clothing let alone shopping for it, but my skateboarding phase led to a thrifting addiction, especially since I always needed new pants. My obsession truly ignited when I found rare South Pole jeans at the Goodwill racks with my homie Matthew right after we graduated.

This enthusiasm, combined with the business classes I took and the help of my good friend Carlos, who created the shop's logo, culminated in a successful grand opening on April 15, 2023. It is safe to say though that I am still novice to this business and learning from my mistakes as well as veterans in this field, so I genuinely appreciate your comprehension and support as I grow. Its interesting how this has quickly evolved from a hobby into a full blown store which is part of a community that embraces sustainable fashion. I’m eternally grateful for the support I’ve received and all the wonderful people I've had the pleasure of helping embrace the phrase, 'Find your style' here at KVK <3 ...."
